About this Project

Sharing the Love of Literacy

This website is the result of a Girl Scout Silver Project by Kenna Johnson, who lives in Moore County, North Carolina.  This project entailed working with the Moore County Literacy Council in order to update and refurbish Little Free Libraries throughout Moore County.  Upon doing this, Kenna created an interactive map of all 29 Little Free Libraries within Moore County.  Kenna and her troop also added 2 new Little Free Libraries and added those to the map as seen above.  In addition, Kenna and her troop built Sit Upons for the Literacy Council- so kids could sit comfortably and read great books!
